Megan Mendoza, LPC

I am a compassionate and experienced therapist specializing in working with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically transgender and nonbinary individuals. With a strong background in case management in the non-profit sector, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals navigating mental health issues, identity, and systemic barriers.
I have extensive experience in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including Borderline Personality Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder. My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which I use to help clients develop coping skills, build emotional regulation, and improve overall well-being.
In addition to individual therapy, I also run a specialized support group for transgender and nonbinary individuals aged 30 and up, providing a safe space for sharing experiences and receiving support from peers. I am well-versed in writing gender-affirming care letters and follow the WPATH criteria to ensure that clients receive the support they need for their gender transition.
I take a person-centered approach to therapy, meeting clients where they are in their journey, and creating a collaborative and nonjudgmental environment. Whether you are seeking support around gender identity, mental health challenges, or life transitions, I am here to help you navigate your path with care and understanding.
